The reason DutchSoccerVision.com exists is to help coaches and players learn how to play better soccer by examining, and learning how to implement, the coaching methods of the Dutch.
The Netherlands has produced an amazing number of world class players for such a small country. (Its population of approximately 16 million ranks it smaller than 60 other countries!) Former standouts include Frank Rijkaard, Ronald Koeman, Ruud Gullit, Marco Van Basten, Dennis Bergkamp and of course, Johan Cruyff. Current stars include Robin Van Persie, Dirk Kuyt, Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneidjer.
Top Dutch coaches have used their training to influence how the game has been played for many years all over the world. Rinus Michels, Louis van Gaal, Dick Advocaat and Guus Hiddink, as well as some of the aforementioned players extending their careers as successful coaches.
The Dutch soccer federation, KNVB, has created a well thought out method for developing young athletes into top soccer players and have been willing to share their playing concept to the benefit of soccer players worldwide.
Play to win by doing the right thing, in the right way, at the right time, to the right placeFor example, the Dutch are very specific about where to pass the ball. It's not good enough to pass to the "player," you must play the ball to "correct foot" (right place) of that player.. Play to win by playing skillful soccer with insight and good communication.
